Acne treatment must be individualized in each case, depending on the type of acne, its severity and the age of the patient.
At U Clinic we carry out a study aimed at finding out what type of acne our patients can present, and we advise them on the most appropriate treatment in each case.
In initial or slightly aggressive cases, treatment usually begins with general hygienic measures and topical treatments.
When there is no response or in more severe forms, local skin treatments are combined with oral treatments with different drugs.
Other alternatives may include the use of peelings (especially later for the treatment and improvement of possible scarring), or minimally invasive surgeries (in carefully selected cases, to treat nodule-cystic lesions that are not susceptible to disappearance with medical treatment, or sequelae scars).
